It took 18 pickers helping out over two days to bring in this year’s grape harvest at Veranda Beach – a whopping 9.5 tons! And not only is it a plentiful bounty; Veranda’s soil, vines and the tender care of our Vineyard Manager Finis Hale and his crew have yielded the finest grapes in the Okanogan County. 2011 will always be remembered as a year of vintage quality.
Father David joined our vineyard harvest crew again this year to ask for God’s blessing; the fine results of last year are about to be bottled and this year’s bounty - 3 1/2 times last year’s crop.
The grapes are now in internationally acclaimed Winemaker Rusty Figgins hands as he begins to craft them into fine wines for our ultimate enjoyment.
