Here at Veranda Beach, there is always so much to do for kids of all ages!
Whether your family is feeling energetic and looking to get out there, or perhaps you’d rather just kick back and relax beside the pool or lake, the options at Veranda Beach are abundant.
Here is just a little taste of what we have in store for you...
Lawn games, horseshoes, shuffleboard, bocce, pool, fitness, movie library, book library, nature walk, happy hour, kid’s crafts, water skiing, wake boarding, adult swim, lake trampoline, paddleboats, beach volleyball, campfire, outdoor movie, event night, theme dinner night, sea-doos, sand castle building...

Aqua Zumba
Start out Monday mornings dancing and party yourself into shape in the pool! Veranda Beach’s very own Charleen will lead you in Latin-inspired, exhilarating, calorie –burning dance moves, with the additional resistance benefit of the water. Easy to follow and lots of fun, and you’re exercising!
Mondays, July 11 - Aug 29th, 8:00 am in the pool. It will “jump start” your day!
Fly Fishing
Howie Kubik will lead you in all the tricks of being a successful fly fisherman, while enjoying the morning on beautiful Lake Osoyoos. Howie comes to Veranda Beach with over 33 years experience in all types of fly fishing, and adventures worldwide. His class will offer instruction for the beginner on up; young or old. Class time will include; review of equipment, leaders and knot tying, then onto basic fly casting. Classes require a minimum of 2 participants and are limited to 4. All equipment is supplied.

Globe Trivia Nights
Every Tuesday in the summer season, it's Trivia Night at Globe at the Beach. Come inside the restaurant and pit your wits against each other in teams of 4 in our interactive family style trivia quiz nights. Geography, history, sports, movies, music and general knowledge......what will be your specialist subject? Who will be crowned Veranda Champions at the end of the summer? Bring your friends, kids, family....and if you’re not a team of 4, we will pair you with the smartest we can find! Sign up your team by Tuesdays at noon to be assured a seat.
Karaoke Nights
Every Thursday it's Karaoke Night on the Veranda at Globe. Come and show off your singing talents....go solo or bring a crowd! All your favourite songs and a ready made audience. Come on Dad...you know you’ve always wanted to do a Frank! Every second Thursday Karaoke will expand to be “Veranda’s Got Talent”. The microphone will be all yours as you show off your comic routine, dance moves, magic show, four part harmony, or whatever talent you may have. Prizes every week for the audience favourites!
Trapshooting
Learn trapshooting from Veranda Beach’s very own, Barry Kemper, 2009 Michigan Trapshooting Association Hall of Fame Inductee. Barry will offer instruction for the beginner on up, twice weekly at Veranda Beach trapshooting field. Classes require a minimum of 2 participants and are limited to 4. All all equipment is supplied.

Wake Board Clinics
Back by popular demand! Jesse Barker, Advanced Wake Board Champion, will meet you at the Marina at 8:00 am to teach you all you need to get started, or advance to the next level. Jesse is an expert at helping you tackle challenges and “tweak” the moves. Everything’s provided for you to hit the water, flying! This class is set up for all skill levels and limited to 4-6 per clinic. Each person will receive a half an hour dedicated instruction time.

Water Ski Clinic
New this year! Jesse Barker has put together one class this year to learn the finer skill of Water Skiing. Whether you are a beginner or advanced Skier, Jesse will guide you through the milestones to perfect that balance, body position, ski technique and style. All equipment is provided, just bring your sunscreen! Each person will receive a half an hour dedicated instruction time, but will enjoy 2-3 hours of time on the lake.

Wake Surfing Clinic
New this year! Jesse Barker brings to Veranda Beach a Wake Surfing clinic, but only one time this year. Wake Surfing is where a person "surfs" behind a ski boat. The wake from the boat copy’s the look and feel of an actual ocean wave. After getting up on the wave by use of a tow rope, Wake Surfers drop the rope and ride the face below the wave's peak, just like ocean surfing. It takes a special board, but all that will be provided for you.

Zumba
“Salsa” your way to the Activity center and enjoy an hour of Latin-inspired fun excercise. Veranda Beach’s very own Patty will get the beat going, as she leads you in those easy to follow dance moves that will melt those calories away. Lots of laughter and fun, guaranteed!
