Exciting Winter Activities Near Veranda Beach Resort
Here at Veranda Beach, the fun carries on even during the winter months. In addition to the incredible views that come with an Okanogan Valley winter, the snowy season brings with it plenty of exciting winter activities for you to try!
On both the Washington and British Columbia side of Lake Osoyoos, there are several fun spots for you to enjoy winter activities.

Highlands Nordic Sno-Park
This beautiful park features 36 km of groomed cross-country ski trails in the Okonagan Highlands. Great for both classic and skate skiing, Highlands Nordic Sno-Park covers open meadows, small creeks, and steep wooded hills. Across the park's many trails, you can catch exceptional views of features such as Mt. Bonaparte, Baldy Mountain, and the Cascades shouldering into Canada. A day of nordic skiing at Highlands Nordic Sno-Park makes for a fun and memorable winter day nearby Lake Osoyoos.
To access the park you will need to purchase either of $20 day parking permit or a $50 season parking permit. You can purchase parking permits at one of the local Forest Service offices or online at the Washington State Parks website.

Loup Loup Ski Bowl
One of the most popular local ski areas, the Loup Loup Ski Bowl features 30 acres and 1,240 vertical feet of diverse ski terrain. At the Loup there are 10 cut runs on Little Buck Mountain, and you can enjoy some cross-country skiing on the 26 km of nordic trails. There are also both rental and retail shops at which you can acquire any gear you'll need for your day of skiing or snowboarding.
Adult lift tickets for Loup Loup Ski Bowl range between $59-$70 depending on when you visit, and adult season passes cost $595.
